Welcome to my blog, if you hadn’t surmised already, this blog is about my experiences riding a motorcycle, and really anything motorcycle related; specifically about being a woman who rides.I am a 28 year-old woman. Yes, a woman. Who rides a motorcycle, a “real” one, not a scooter, and not a sportsbike. Yes, it’s bigger than 250cc, it’s a Suzuki Boulevard M50 (800cc), named Bubba. One day I hope to own a 1200 but finding a bike with a larger engine when you’re only 5′ 2″ isn’t as easily said as done.
I learned how to ride in the summer of 2012, but it wasn’t until the next year that I had my own motorcycle. Within my first year, I had ridden over 7,000 miles. I have been to many amazing, beautiful places, met all kinds of people, and had my fair share of close calls. People are always asking me what it’s like to ride, if I get scared, or even what made me want to ride in the first place. So here are your answers, I hope you find it enlightening.
